Jeep Renegade Electric - Concept Car

This Jeep Renegade concept vehicle is propelled by two 268 horsepower electric motors which are powered by a lithium-ion battery pack . It is capable of a range of about 40 miles on one battery plug-in charge . The renegade has a 115 horsepower 3 cylinder Diesel engine which drives a generator to recharge the battery while driving . It also uses a regenerative brake system to help maintain battery power .

It is estimated that the fuel mileage overall would be about 110 miles per US gallon of diesel fuel . It is a two seater with lots of power that would be a lot of fun to drive . Easy on fuel and with very low emissions too .
