Chrysler was involved in the development of turbine engines by the early 60’s and in 1963 introduced the “Chrysler Turbine” concept car .

The turbine engine in this car produced only 130 brake horsepower , but put out 425 pounds of torque at any and all speeds . Turbine engines could run on Gasoline , diesel fuel kerosene vegetable oil or just about any thing that is combustibile . Turbine engines would have been lower in some emissions and higher in others . The high engine speed of 60,000 rpm was possible the only fear of durability in customer use and abuse .

Chrysler has done extensive development in their Electric Car research . Their 268 horsepower electric motors have been tested in many concept vehicles and works well and with performance too .
