The Ford Trimotor Airplane was built by Ford Motor Company from 1925 until 1933 . The name comes as a result of it’s use of three radial engines . 199 were built . This was the first airliner and would carry 12 people .
This is a replica of the famed “Red Baron” of WW-1 .
The tri-plane was involved in about 20 , of the 80 some planes , shot down by “Milfred Von Richtofen” , The Red Baron .
These airplanes were used in wars and made very large contributions to the outcomes of those wars .
The P-51 Mustang had a top speed of over 480 miles per hour . It dominated over other propeller driven war planes and even defeated some early jet powered war planes . The speed was enough the in could catch up to and shoot down VII Rockets .
The P-38 Lightning was a Fighter-Bomber with a top speed of 440 miles per hour . It was capable of very long range missions .
The A-10 Thunderbolt was designed as a ground attack aircraft and was used to combat Tanks and ground forces and such .
The F-86 Sabre Jet was introduced in 1947 . It had a top speed of over 680 miles per hour , and would fly as high as 49.000 feet . In Korea the F-86 was credited with shooting down over 790 Mig’s while only 78 F-86’s were lost .
The Avro Arrow was designed and prototypes were built by the AV Roe company in Malton Ontario Canada , in the 1950’s . It was to be an Interceptor Airplane and it’s designs and features were very far ahead of that time . On test flights it exceeded 1300 miles per hour reached heights of up to 53,000 feet high . (that’s 10 miles above the ground) . As it was in its final test stage the Canadian Government cancelled the project , which let to the demise or the AV Roe company . Most of the engineers that were involved in the Arrow project were quickly hired by other aircraft manufacturers , obviously for their knowledge of the Arrow designed and features .
